Awarded to Phillip Silver, the master bedroom at the 2013 San Francisco Showcase House was a room designed to express the brief of a “phantom client”, a young couple, international, inspired, and San Franciscan.

Set on the second level of a Georgian style Pacific Heights mansion, the room reflected a level of sophistication that the clients would have had.

The bed, placed in the center of one end of the room, was furnished in Frette linens, a writing table and chair sat behind the bed head, a contemplative “monk” sat in the bay window, panels of white gold flanked either side of the fire place, framed photos of Paris hung on the walls and a comfortable fireside sitting area sat under a hand carved alabaster ceiling pendent - all surround with furniture in exotic zebra wood, mounted crystals and an early 20th century silver tea service - ready to pore.

A retreat from the world.
